Platform updates

This page summarises changes to the TVS SDE that may be visible to users. It is updated with each platform upgrade.

New VM sizes available

The following VM sizes have been added to the Windows and Linux VM options:

  • Das_v5 Series (AMD) — now available in 4, 8, 16, and 32 CPU sizes, providing an alternative to the Intel Dsv5 series with equivalent performance for most workloads
  • T4 GPU — NVIDIA Tesla T4 GPU VMs are now available in 4 CPU and 8 CPU configurations. T4 is suitable for ML inference and moderate training workloads. See the GPU workloads page for guidance

GPU quota guidance updated

The VM size selection screen now includes clearer guidance on GPU quota. GPU quota is shared across all workspaces — please delete GPU VMs when they are no longer in use, as quota is only released on deletion not on stop.
